Running time
Each encounter runs for between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on requirements of the presenter and audience engagement. A break of at least 15 minutes is required between each encounter. A maximum of 3 encounters can be presented in a two-hour block.
What we need
We can present the encounter in lots of different spaces, including
- Flat floor
- Hall
- Foyer spaces
- Outdoor stages
- Outdoor areas with solid, level ground
This is designed for audiences who are standing rather than seated.
A protected, covered or enclosed area is recommended. We can perform outside but the encounter cannot take place in rain or excessive heat (over 25 degrees).
Space:
- Approximately 10m x 10m flat space (flexible depending on set up)
- Height: minimum clearance of 2.5metres. 3 metres plus is preferred.
- Ellie the Australevenator is big! She is 3.6m long, stands 2.2m tall.
- Load in- Flat (step free) access from loading area to performance area is ideal as there are several heavy items that use trolleys.
- The show can be loaded in through standard size doorway.
- Bump in and set up time: approximately 1.5hrs
- Pack down time: approximately 1hr
We supply
- All materials and equipment for the show including:
- Self-powered PA system
- 6mx 3m Marquee with weights for set up
- Audience barriers
- Puppets
- 2 performers to present the encounter
- 1 assistant to help manage the event
- All set and costume
- Transport to and from event
You need to supply
- Appropriate protected space for performance
- Additional staff / volunteers if required to manage audience (to be discussed)
